MEMBERSHIP

Membership in the Society is open to:
any legally competent individual interested in participating in the Society’s activities and contributing to the achievement of its objectives, who accepts the provisions of the Statute and whose teaching, scientific, or professional work is related to physics.
pupils and students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in physics competitions
a legal entity with its registered seat in the Republic of Croatia or abroad, provided that it carries out scientific activities or higher education activities in the scientific field of natural sciences, specifically physics, is interested in participating in the work of the Society and contributing to the achievement of its objectives, and accepts the provisions of the Statute.
STATUTE OF THE SOCIETY

APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP

By completing the form below, you can apply for membership in the Croatian Physical Society. The Society’s members may be regular, junior, honorary, or institutional. The application is submitted through this form, and the Governing Board decides on admission within 60 days of submission.

Membership in the Society begins on the date on which a positive decision is adopted by the Governing Board. If the Governing Board rejects an application for membership, the applicant may submit an appeal to the Council of the Society within 15 days from the date of receipt of the decision rejecting the application for admission to membership. The decision of the Council is final.

The rights of the members of the Society are:
a) participating in the activities of the Society,
b) proposing candidates for the governing bodies of the Society,
c) electing and being elected to the governing bodies of the Society,
d) being informed about the work of the Society and its governing bodies, as well as about its financial operations.

The obligations and responsibilities of the members of the Society are: 
a) complying with the provisions of the Statute of the Society, 
b) respecting the decisions of the governing bodies of the Society, 
c) regularly paying membership fee.

The annual membership fee (payable after the Governing Board’s decision on admission) is EUR 20 for regular members; EUR 15 for regular members who are teaching assistants or junior researchers at higher education institutions, as well as for kindergarten, primary and high school teachers; FREE for junior members (students and pupils), retirees, and honorary members; EUR 500 for institutional members; and EUR 1,500 for founding institutions of the Society.
  
Membership in the Society terminates by written notice of withdrawal, expulsion from membership or the death of a member.
